This week was a huge milestone for 3rd Class Children as they voted for their first student council member. Last week the class put their names forward as nominees. Each class from 3rd up has a student council representative who is tasked with bringing ideas from their classmates to improve their school experience.
On Tuesday, the nominees presented their fantastic election posters and made a speech to the class outlining their ideas and ambitions as a student council rep. The effort and thought that went in to each speech and poster was absolutely fantastic.
Voting took place on Wednesday, at which the class stepped forward to receive their ballot card and marked it anonymously at a polling booth. The votes were counted that day and our winner was announced by Ms. Slevin.
Congratulations to our winner and well done to everyone who made the massive effort to put themselves forward.
