We are enjoying much playful learning in drama and literacy in Ms Duffy’s room with this theme.

Again we went with two roleplay areas which allowed lots of opportunity for rich oral language to be used. Our theatre shop and concession stand were very busy as tickets and snacks were bought for the showing of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The children learned about voice projection and the speed at which you deliver public speaking. It was a very real experience for the children…we even spilled popcorn 😱
Our writing was made even more valid after doing the roleplays and resulted in some fantastic character descriptions, shopping lists and wanted posters .
Our creative juices were flowing at the junk art station. Kids made binoculars to view the show and lots of castles and houses to add to our small world centres.
We couldn’t decide which Small World we would create so we went for two.  Jack and the Beanstalk and The Three Little Pigs.  We are still working through this theme and will find it hard to say goodbye to it!
