We had a wonderful celebration at our Assembly today. We started by asking Our Lady to bless all of us and all our families during the Easter break.

We have been so busy for the last month.

Here are some of the activities we have been up to.
Kieran’s class presented the meaning of the three words Inspire, Nurture and Learn from our Vision statement.

James and Shea told us all about Vex Robotics and the competition they entered in ATU. They did a demonstration of how the robot moves and explained to us how they added the code to the robot. We were all very impressed!

Senan, Caolán and Michael won all their games at our recent Chess competition. This was the first time we had entered a Chess competition.

The Student Council raised a whopping €2175 for the Jack and Jill foundation with our recent Pyjama Day. Emma and  Eimear won the Principal’s Special Merit Award for all their work in organising the Pyjama Day.

Dylan has been taking really good care of our flowers for the past month. He took all the pots inside when it was frosty and we are so lucky as we now have lovely colourful flowers around the school. Well Done Dylan!

Aoibhe and  Hannah got a special mention at our assembly today as they showed kindness, caring and friendship to another member of our school family. We are so proud of them!

Rebecca and Laura together with our wonderful senior infants in Ms McGinleys class gave us a demonstration of Teamwork. This is the strength we will be working on for the month of April.

We all wished Sama good luck as she represents the school this morning in the Spelling Bee in Ballybofey. We are so proud of her for representing Woodlands at the competition.
We congratulated our Sportshall Athletics teams and our FAI 5s teams as they did very well and some of the teams are through to the next stage of the competition.
We wish everyone a very Happy Easter break and look forward to seeing you all on 17th April for another busy, fun-filled term.
