During the lead up to the Easter Break the school will be taking part in the Active Schools Run Around Europe Challenge. The aim if the challenge is to pick a European Capital, check how far away it is in kilometres and run the equivalent amount of laps on our outdoor track. We have classes running to London or Paris and even as far as Athens and Kiev. Schools all across Europe will be taking part in this challenge so we will have some stiff competition. This challenge is not just a sporting one. Many of the classes are now researching culture and history of European Capitals. We will have weekly updates on the progress of each class on their journey across the Continent. Each week we will also have a winner of the most active class trophy for classes who run the most laps or put the biggest effort into the challenge.

Well done to Mr Boyle’s 5th class who were the winners of the first laps challenge. They made huge progress on their journey to Lisbon, Portugal. Comhghairdeas
