The 3 2nd classes learned about Croke Park and the importance of exercise to stay fit and healthy recently.
Following these lessons, they did a ‘Run to Croke Park’ challenge to fit in with these two topics.
Just last week, they finished collectively running 238 laps of the school track to represent the 238km it takes to get from our school to Croke Park.
All 3 classes ran the last few laps together. The children from Senior Infants and 1st Class came out with their teachers and SNAs to cheer them on.
It has been great to see the children have fun, but also push themselves while doing this challenge. Some enjoyed it so much that they suggested running the 238km (laps) back from Croke Park too!!
