In May in Mrs McLaughlin’s room, we explored all the animals you can find in the Zoo, and it was so fun and interesting! We looked at the natural habitats of the different animals, spanning from the desert to the savanna to the rainforest and the ocean! We learned how the animals adapt to the different environments. It opened up a whole new world to us.
During Aistear, we constructed enclosures for some of the Zoo animals. We took trips to the Zoo in the Role-play corner, visiting all the animal enclosures and taking safari excursions on our bus! We painted zoo animals and played games associated with habitats and animals. It was one of the children’s favourite themes
